Eric Karabell ranks players based on their value for the rest of the 2023 season by position every week. Use the information to optimize the players on your bench for their future potential. Eric's top 100 can be found below the positions in this column.

          Quarterback

Rankings changes: Chargers star Justin Herbert, a top-5 fantasy option entering Week 14, is the big news at quarterback after he fractured a finger Sunday. His regular season may be over. Fantasy managers must move on. Luckily, there are several readily available quarterbacks who remain free agents in many fantasy leagues, including the Bengals' Jake Browning and Browns' Joe Flacco, each of whom moved up in these rankings this week. Try to avoid Chargers fill-in Easton Stick and whomever starts for the Vikings, if possible.

This is the final edition of the end-of-season rankings for the 2023 season, and as the games near their end, we thank you for following along. Schedule is paramount now, not only for the top quarterbacks, but potential streamers, and fantasy managers will want to avoid those facing the Ravens, 49ers, Jets and Browns, among others. While we rank for the rest of the regular season and its four weeks, fantasy managers should go week-to-week with decision making -- and do not rely on big names if they are not your best option. The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes and Texans rookie C.J. Stroud may not be your top options in Week 15. The Rams' Matthew Stafford, facing the Commanders this week, may be.

          Running back

Rankings changes: The Rams' Kyren Williams, Bengals' Joe Mixon and Bills' James Cook are examples of running backs who continue to produce big numbers, and they force moves up in our rankings. Rely on volume at running back. The Bengals' Chase Brown is a fine story, similar to the Ravens' Keaton Mitchell before him, but high touch totals remain key. The Seahawks and Steelers options continue to split them. The Colts' Zack Moss continues to waste them.

Schedule matters at running back as well, and those with unreliable quarterbacks tend to struggle. The Jets' Breece Hall, however, is producing through the passing game. Perhaps the Chargers' Austin Ekeler can remain a RB1 sans Herbert. The Panthers' Chuba Hubbard and Patriots' Ezekiel Elliott lack dependable quarterbacks, but the numbers were there in Week 14. Keep an eye on injury situations involving the Chiefs (Isiah Pacheco), Vikings (Alexander Mattison) and Packers (Aaron Jones).

          Wide receiver

Rankings changes: Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb and the 49ers' options seem unstoppable. Lamb usurps the top spot, while Deebo Samuel grabs a WR1 spot. Teammate Brandon Aiyuk is close. The Chargers' Keenan Allen, however, may suffer without Herbert, though he holds WR1 status, for now. We await word on injuries to the Dolphins' Tyreek Hill and Vikings' Justin Jefferson. We thank Jaguars star Christian Kirk for his time. As with quarterback, pay attention to injuries, and the schedule is critical. Enjoy Rams and Seahawks this week.

          Tight end

Rankings changes: There was ample tight end production in Week 14, led by the Jaguars' Evan Engram and Browns' David Njoku, as they combined for nearly 60 PPR points. The Cowboys' Jake Ferguson and Ravens' Isaiah Likely rise in the rankings and remain reasonable options for this week and beyond. Try not to overthink things at tight end, where only five active players average more than 13 PPR points per game. At wide receiver, that figure is 26. Good luck in the playoffs!
